SAIDA, taking place in Tunisia of today, is a comedia dell'arte (minus the masks) Middle Eastern style. SAIDA tells the story of the leader of the Israeli Secret Service and the leader of the Palestinian Secret Service as they vie for the heart of beautiful Saida, each negotiating and outmaneuvering the other using the best of the Mideast trickery games and exploits. An allegory of the land in the image of a woman, SAIDA brings the Middle East to America in a way no news item can do. Written and directed by Tuvia Tenenbom.
